BellXcel's powerful platform was a finalist in the category Cool Tools, Best Emerging Technology Solution and CEO, Lauren Sanchez Gilbert, was a finalist in the leadership category as a Visionary.
The EdTech Awards is the world's largest recognition program for education technology recognizing the biggest names in Ed Tech – and those who soon will be.

Founded as an afterschool tutoring program in a Boston neighborhood to address the academic achievements, self-confidence and life trajectories of children in underserved communities, particularly those of color, evolved over decades to serve youth across the country. While these programs had high impact, there were several barriers to successfully scaling BellXcel’s proven model affordably. BellXcel was one of the first to lead a licensing agreement with youth-serving organizations that empowered the adults in each community to deliver high impact programs that could meet their unique needs.
And it worked.
Kids were experiencing academic growth, teachers and staff were gaining strong professional development opportunities, and communities were thriving. And yet there were still many without access to the tools and strategies that drive high-quality youth programs as well – particularly those in under-resourced areas.
Further innovation was needed.
Since stepping into the CEO role in 2017, Lauren Sanchez Gilbert, knew that technology would be the key to scale and to fulfill a vision for ALL children to excel, BellXcel began to apply decades of research and experience in youth programming to develop a software as a service (SaaS) platform. BellXcel’s latest innovation integrates both the operational and content elements required to run high-quality youth programming. This affordable, easy-to-use software solution is accessible to diverse communities across the country from rural to urban and everywhere in between.

Time-saving digital tools power high-quality programs for youth-serving organizations through one log-in, so they can spend less time dealing with program logistics and paperwork, and more time focused on what truly matters most: elevating the potential of youth.
