To help you navigate staffing challenges, we've invited Samantha Church from the YMCA of Metro Denver, Kelley Barnes from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, and LaShaun Murray and Malcolm Parker from YMCA of Metro DC to discuss navigating the challenges of today's staffing environment, along with Mark Williams and Joy Dixon from BellXcel.

Joy Dixon is a nonprofit professional who has spent over a decade developing and training young leaders. As director of partner success, Joy guides partners through implementation and program execution within the BellXcel platform.

Director of Education & Post-Secondary Programs for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City

Kelley Barnes oversees educational and career related partnerships and opportunities for Club members. For the past 15 years, she has dedicated her career to helping teenagers find their purpose and plan their future. She has worked as a middle and high school teacher with Kansas City Public Schools and the Hickman Mills School District, and worked as a Post-Secondary Coach for Kauffman Scholars, Inc.

Samantha Church

Samantha Church 
Manager of Grant Based OST Programs at YMCA of Metro Denver

Samantha Church has been with the YMCA of Metro Denver for about 4.5 years, in various roles supporting youth. She currently oversees the day-to-day staffing and program implementation of their year-round programs and PSA in the summer. They support 7 schools across two school districts. Samantha has a background in social work with a focus on youth development.

Malcolm has operated a Power Scholars program from 2016-2021 in various roles, and currently serves as Program Director in Program Development as well as Program Lead and Site Director for Power Scholars at two locations.
